Leadership Training in
Disability Studies :
CDS will coordinate the Disability Studies
certificate program (the undergraduate Certificate in Disability Studies
and the graduate Interdisciplinary Leadership Certificate Program in
Disability Studies), which will include:

Coordinating student recruitment

Coordinating class scheduling

Receiving applications for various kinds of student assistant

Coordinating service-learning placements

Staffing the center

Maintaining records, etc.
Resource Center:
CDS will

Be an essential community focal point on disability issues;

Maintain a collection of Disability Studies materials, publications, and event information;

Be a local and regional site for information about disability issues;

Host conferences and seminars on disability themes and issues
Research and Policy Evaluation:
In the area of research and policy evaluation, CDS will maintain an
up-to-date resource for disability policy development, and engage in
activities of disability issues advocacy and research.
